Poetry International poster (2023)

Radosław Jurczak is a contemporary Polish poet. Educated in philosophy and mathematics, and working professionally as an IT specialist focused on deep learning artificial intelligence, he explores issues related to the human condition in a technology-driven world. Several of his poems reference Elon Musk, the American billionaire and capitalist, in their titles. Although critical, the portrayal of Musk in Jurczak's work evokes the image of an ancient deity, best encapsulated by the Greek word deinos, which signifies power, danger, and extraordinariness.

This interpretation of Elon Musk inspired my poster promoting Jurczak's performance at the Poetry International Festival in Rotterdam in 2023. The portrait is a render of a 3D model with algorithmically applied textures. The handwritten style of the poet's name and the festival title reflects Jurczak’s humor and his juxtaposition of the natural with technology.
